7 months (unofficial)

AH! How is this possible? I don't know. But somehow, my sweet little baby girl is seven months old now! I can't believe it!

This isn't the "official" 7 month post though because I don't have enough time right now but I did want to quickly post a few pictures from today.

While we were being lazy early this morning, mommy walked away for just a few short seconds, and came back to find someone tearing up a magazine...





Later, we met up with our friends Brittany and Talon at the mall to do a little shopping. I think Talon & Auria we happy to see each other :)




After the mall, Auria and I came home to get daddy & we all went to (a very early) dinner. After that we made a couple of other stops and headed home, took a bath, and mommy took Auria's 7 month sticky belly photos (which will be posted in the "official" 7 month blog). While we were all relaxing in the living room I got a couple of sweet Auria/Daddy pictures...

Happy 7 months, baby girl! Mommy loves you SO much!

3 months... already!?!

I almost can't remember a time when I wasn't Auria's mommy, yet at the same time I can't believe my sweet baby is already THREE months old! Thinking back to when we first brought her home I can see how much she's grown and learned and I'm so amazed! She's got great control of her noggin & she loves sitting up in her chair... it won't be long before she's sitting up all on her own! She holds her head up and looks all around the room during tummy time, although she still doesn't like to stay on her tummy for too long. We can't leave her alone if she's not on the floor because she wiggles her way down now! She can move pretty far, pretty quickly - I know I'm going to have to start baby proofing the house soon! She's working on rolling over from her back to her tummy! She's done it a few times in our bed and on the couch but I don't count those officially because those surfaces have a little give so I think it's easier for her to roll over there than it would be on the floor. I know she will get it down soon though! One of my favorite things is now she smiles and "talks" like crazy and when she's in a really good mood she'll laugh out loud, which mommy thinks is the most precious sounds in the world! I've tried to record her giggles on my phone but it's like she knows the camera is on and she stops until right when I give up, haha! She gets extra chatty every night right before we settle down for bed - Josh and I find this to be quite a treat!

Speaking of Josh, despite the early hours and long weeks he's had at work, he's still been making an effort to spend time when Auria and me and we love it! He came home early on Saturday with a box of chocolate covered strawberries (my fav!) to surprise me! And yesterday he made dinner! I love my hubby and I love him even more when I watch him being daddy with our sweet girl!

So besides yesterday being Auria's 3 month bday, we also had a play date with Brittany & Talon! Talon is about 5 1/2 months old and he is an adorable, happy baby! I enjoyed hanging out with his momma and when they weren't napping/eating I think the babies really enjoyed each other. I know as they get older they'll just have more and more fun playing together! Talon is at the age now where he's really into trying to chew on his feet, so when we were holding him and Auria in front of each other he kept reaching for her feet and tried to stick them in his mouth, haha! And when we had them on the floor together they kept grabbing each others hands... so cute! I love hanging out with mommy friends and seeing our babies grow and interact! Being a mommy is seriously the most awesome thing in the world!

Auria woke up with her daddy at 4am and she's napping now so I think I'm gonna try to get a little more rest while I can!

It's December!

I can't believe December is here already! And what a way to kick off the month - it's been snowing & Auria and I are a little sicky. It's so pitiful hearing my baby girls tiny little cough and listening to the yuckies in her little nosey :/ She's still such a good baby though, she's not screaming her head off or anything, just some little whimpers every now and again to tell momma she needs something. is her usual happy, sweet self... and a little extra snuggly today which I don't mind one bit!


We had plans to meet up with some friends from our Bradley class but we cancelled them so we can rest at home & hopefully get to feeling better soon! And resting we are... well, she is anyway! I hate knowing my precious baby isn't feeling 100% so I'm praying this doesn't stick around for very long.


We got our Christmas cards in the mail today so I'm hoping to find time to get them addressed and mailed out before the weekend. We also got the bows, headbands, and flower clips that I ordered for Auria from this website a friend told me about... I got 12 headbands in assorted colors, 6 flower clips, and 2 bows for $16! This place has a huge variety so if you're looking for such products I highly recommend checking this site out! Also, I ordered these on Monday morning and recieved them today - I love fast shippers!


Day 1 of my new milk making plan went according to schedule. Can't tell a difference yet of course but they said I should notice something within about 3 days so we're getting closer and I'm very excited about that! I'm also getting closer to the beginning of our cloth diapering experiement so I'm kind of excited about that too.


Alright, time to get back to my little sicky girl... tootles!
