Bumpkins

What I like:
- Different sizes
*Different sizes could mean better fit.
- All-in-one
*They don't require any assembly/ stuffing, essentially making them as easy as disposables.
Potential dislike:- Different sizes
*Different sizes means having to buy more as baby grows.
- Velcro closure
*Velcro closures start to wear down over time.
Charlie Banana
What I like:

- The name.
*Haha, this has nothing to do with the functionality of the diaper but I really love the name for some reason!
- Different sizes
*Different sizes could mean better fit.
- Choice of cloth or disposable insert
*Having a choice of a disposable insert is nice for traveling or times when we'll be out of the house for long periods.
- Snap fasteners
*Snap fasteners offer more security on wiggly baby
My mom gave me these diapers washed and ready to go so when we got home from visiting with Oma & the kids I changed Auria into a Charlie Banana! CD's in general are bulkier than disposables and that is certainly the case for these Charlie Banana's but it's so cute!

I'll get more pics as we go through this but she's sleeping on Daddy's chest right now and he doesn't have a shirt on so this was the only shot I'm allowed to get for the moment ;)
The Charlie Banana's came in a pack of six and they came in Red, Bright Yellow, Bright Orange, Powder Blue, White, and a Periwinkle-ish shade. They are pocket diapers and they came with 12 inserts so I can double up on the inserts for each diaper if I want. I'm trying her out with just one insert for right now but for bed time I will double up.
The Bumpkins came with three diapers, and they're all-in-one's so they're ready to go but they also came with an extra insert for each diaper in case I want some extra absorbancy. These diapers have designs on them (photos later) and one of them is kind of rocker looking and I love it! ;)
I've got my gPants, flip, and BumGenius in the wash so we'll add those in the mix tomorrow. It is my intension to document this journey in enough detail that anyone reading this blog can get a good idea of how each cd works so.... if you're reading this and I'm leaving out some details you're curious about, please let me know and I'll be sure to make note of those things as well!
why do cloth diapers make potty training easier?
ReplyDeleteBecause babies can feel when they're wet in cloths.
