She's going to wake up to eat soon so I'll keep this pretty short and sweet for now and hopefully soon I'll post more details about what's been happening the past couple of weeks.
The short version of our birthing story:
-I woke up Sunday morning a little after midnight with contractions
-Started timing contractions at 2:04am at which point they were already consistantly 3 minutes apart and lasting about a minute long
-Water broke at about 4am so we (Josh, my mom, & I) headed to the hospital
-Arrived at the hospital at 4:30am and when they checked me I was 7cm dilated and 100% effaced
-Auria arrived on Sunday, October 24, 2010 @ 6:35am measuring in at 8lbs, 5oz, & 22" long!
**And if you were wondering, I was successful in my NATURAL (drug-free, vaginal) birthing plans - woohoo!

Since all of that excitement we've been busy getting the hang of life as a family of 3 :) We've also had some extra elements that were not anticipated... Auria was jaundice so we've had lots of visits to the pediatrician and to the hospital for lab work (almost daily). She was on photo therapy 2 different times and that was really hard for Josh and me but she's doing much better now! We've also had some issues with keeping her weight up because Momma isn't producing enough milk so that's my current focus. I'm drinking a special tea a few times a day as well as taking an herbal supplement that's supposed to help me out so we're praying for the best!
Uh oh, time to eat....
