Smiles and Pumpkin Spice

Auria is turning me into a morning person. I've always been quite the opposite so I wondered how I would ever adjust to a newborns schedule but it has been easier than I expected. I think it helps to be waking up to such a sweet face! The pumpkin spice coffee helps too ;) Seriously though, as exhausting as it can be it doesn't feel like a chore to wake up in the middle of the night (sometimes several times) to feed, change, burp her - if anything I feel privileged! There's something so special and indescribable about the look a baby gives her mommy. It kind of a "I know you and I love you" look and it's the most amazing thing in the world!

The past few days Auria has started turning her head to follow sounds. It's my favorite when someone else is holding her and I say something - not even to her, just in conversation - and she turns her head in my direction and searches for me. I'm so absolutely in love with her so it's nice to know the feeling is mutual ;) She's also started smiling... real smiles, not just gas induced ones, lol! I knew she was a beautiful girl before but when she gets a big ol' smile on her face it could melt even the coldest of hearts!

I'd love to continue to gush about my baby but she's down for her morning nap now which means this is mommy's chance at a shower! ;)

Here are a few pictures from my Bloggie:
