I saw her!

I did not get much sleep at all last night :/ I always have to get up a few times through the night to relieve my bladder but last night was one of those nights where, as exhausted as I was, I just could not fall asleep in between my potty breaks. Last time this happened I went downstairs to lay on the couch and I ended up scaring the crap out of my hubby when he came downstairs to get ready for work (lol) but this time I just couldn't find the motivation to walk down the two mini-flights of stairs. I'm sure I was lying there for 2 or 3 hours before I finally did drift off again but when I did it was wonderful!

I wasn't asleep for very long before my alarm went off but it was just long enough for a short little dream. In this sweet little dream I saw her! I saw myself in the hospital, just a few hours after delivery, holding my beautiful, perfect, baby girl on my chest! :) :) :) She wasn't tiny, but she wasn't huge either - she was just right! She didn't have a ton of hair but she did have a nice, dark covering on her cute noggin. She was just snuggled up on my chest with her little fist tucked under her chin... it was absolutely precious! I didn't see details of her features but I remember thinking that she was the perfect combination of Josh and me.

I keep seeing this image in my head and I can't help but wonder if that's really what she's going to look like. I know I'm going to think she's amazing whether or not she ends up looking anything like that perfect baby girl in my dreams, but I wonder if I've really gotten a glimpse of my baby girl!

When my mom was pregnant with each one of her kids I saw each of them and they all came out looking just as I'd dreamt! Even when Lisa was pregnant with Remy, I knew he was going to be a boy. Early on in my pregnancy, before we found out the sex of our baby, I had lots of dreams about my holding a baby boy and he was adorable and I just knew we were having a boy...buuut I was wrong, haha! But now, oh the little girl in this dream just felt so real, it felt like I'd known her and loved her forever already so I can't imagine her not coming out looking just like the baby I saw last night.

I know I've said it before but I must say it again and again until she's finally here: I can't wait to meet my baby girl! My sweet Auria Rheaume Bibelhauser!! Oh little girl, if you only knew how ready mommy is to kiss that little face of yours... please hurry!!!!!

Okay, changing subjects - tonight Josh is doing the annual Danger Run with his family. It's totally not my thing anyway because I hate haunted houses and just scary things in general, but he's so excited and I know they're gonna have a good time. They were champs last year so they get to do it for free this year AND they get to do it in a limo - classy, lol. Anyway, while he's gone for several hours doing that, my mom and I are going to have a girls night together! We're going to have dinner at our favorite Korean place and then we're gonna go see that new movie (Life As We Know It, maybe?) with Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel so it should be a fun little outing for us! It will be good for us to get to hang out just the two of us, plus like she said, she'll be with me in case a certain little girl should decide she's ready to meet the family ;)

The rest of our weekend is gonna be kind of busy... Josh's graduation ceremony is tomorrow (though I think he still has yet to make up his mind about whether or not we're going), also, there is a UofL game - which I'm missing out on bc it's just too hot for me (where did that nice fall weather go?!), and then tomorrow night I think we're finally going to get to try out BBC with my dad & Lisa.
Sunday we're going to my middle bro Joey's football game and then later we're going to BJ's with my moms family to celebrate Josh graduating.
It should be lots of family fun so I'm excited! Hopefully there is some resting in there too!

Okay I really have to pee so I want to wrap this up BUT I have to mention that earlier today I went to Lisa's office bc she said a few ladies from her office were going to bring in some things for the baby. Well when I got there it was basically a baby shower - there was lots of food, a pile of presents, and a bunch of women (only one of which I've ever met by the way)! It was so thoughtful of them to do that for us, especially since I don't know them and they only know of me because I'm Lisa's step-daughter. They gave us a bunch of super cute outfits, diapers, wipes, washcloths, burp cloths, socks, bibs, a play mat... I mean a ton of stuff! It was so sweet and it just amazed me that so many people would go out of their way to bless our little family like that! Anyway, it was just really amazing so I couldn't not mention it!

Bladder is about to burst now so BYE!
