Seriously though, I have to admit, I was quite disappointed when my alarm clock went off this morning and I realized that after all of yesterday's activities - the cervical check, the zoo, walking down hillcrest - I hadn't been struck by a single contraction (besides some boring BH's)... I was sure I'd feel some sort of discomfort! Okay now I sound like I'm crazy because I just said I was disappointed that I did not experience discomfort yesterday but I'm just beyond ready to meet my baby girl!!!!
As I revealed in my oh-so-detailed blog yesterday, I'm now "almost" 4cm dilated and 90% effaced. It's progress I suppose [last week was 3cm, 80%], but not as much as I was hoping for... which is why I probably shouldn't have had the cervical checks in the first place but to know something is happening is nice! The girl who checks my BP asked what # baby this is when she was walking us back to the room and I said "She's #1!" and her response was "Oh, 3cm is great for a 1st pregnancy!" so that made me feel pretty good. My midwife said if I make it back for my appointment next Tuesday they will strip my membranes if I want.
DUH, I WANT!
I'm really hoping I don't make it in for that though. I'm so banking on this whole "gravitational pull of the full moon will send you into labor" thing (01:30 Sat, October 23rd)! I know a ton of people who swear by it (nurses and mommies) and with my current dilation/effacement progress and it being so close to my actual due date, people say that it's very likely that it'll do the trick!
I posted our professional bump pics a couple of weeks ago but here's the most recent pics. I'm kind of hoping they might be the last ;)

Is it just me or am I out of room? Haha! I keep telling Auria she'll really enjoy it out here but I'm not sure she believe me. Stubborn little girl... she's already too much like her mommy ;)
Plans for tonight:
-Grocery
-Walk
-Rest
-Wait...
Stay tuned!
