The past couple of days I've been experiencing lots of new pregnancy feelings like slight cramping, weird pains in my thighs, super sore hips, & I just feel like she's WAY down in there... all of these things everyone tells me is just what happens when you're a month away from d-day. One particularly strange experience for me though is sometimes I feel like... well there's no better way to explain the sensation than to say I feel like she's gonna fall out! I know she's not actually going to but it's the craziest feeling. Anyway I have my 36 week appointment on Wednesday so I've just been planning on asking my midwife about it then but it's just so odd that I finally googled some things and I found this when I googled "36 Weeks Pregnant":
"Dropping or lightening: As your baby descends into your pelvis you may notice that your baby’s position has dropped. Sometimes this is obvious and other times you won’t notice this at all.
Cramping or Pelvic pressure: You may notice menstrual like cramping or achiness or you may sense more pressure in your pelvic area. Some women describe this feeling as if their baby feels like she might “fall out.”"

Okay, cool, these are some things I've been experiencing so it made me feel better - at first. When I looked further up on the page I noticed this little snippet was under "Signs of Labor"...AH! My heart may have skipped a beat, lol! I know it's coming soon but not for a few more weeks... oh goodness... am I ready for this?!
Surely I'm not the only woman at this stage of her pregnancy to have a moment when it just really hits her that IT'S COMING.... labor is on its way! I'm excited and I guess I'm ready as I'm gonna be but man, something about seeing that just then really made it all very real for me.
Btw, I'm not saying I think I'm about to go in labor now, or even any time in the next 2 or even 3 weeks. Actually I'm quite confident that my girl will probably be stubborn and she'll overstay her welcome in Casa de Momma's Belly. The point is, after all of this waiting, it's really hitting me now that really, for real, we're gonna meet our little girl soon... and that's really awesome (and slightly scary if I'm being completely honest)!
I feel the same way girl!!! It's like all of a sudden I have all this pressure.
ReplyDeleteI've been having some achy pains near my belly button and I asked the nurse if Kendall was trying to climb out. Ha! She said "remember those round ligament pains in the beginning?" Oh fun!
That's hilarious because I feel like a limb is going to pop out of my skin and I always tell Josh "Auria is trying to escape right now!", haha!
